Scholarship Program
CMAF scholarship program was established for outstanding young musicians in severe financial need, who came to study in Boston, MA or Coachella Valley, CA area music schools.
Eligible young musicians, ages 14 through 26, can apply by submitting their application, birth certificate financial statement and letter of recommendation from their musical institution. CMAF is one of the few places to which talented young musicians can apply for financial assistance. These scholarships are supported by businesses and individuals in Coachella Valley, CA and Boston, MA with an interest in making quality musical training available to motivated and dedicated youth and strengthening our art and cultural scenes.
In addition to financial support, the CMAF Scholarship Program offers recipients a variety of one-year training and performance opportunities as follows:
- Private lessons and chamber ensemble coaching by CMAF staff musicians
- Performances at the CMAF Festival Concert series which will be the benefit concerts for the next year’s scholarships
- Education and community performances at several public places around Boston, MA and Palm Desert, CA.
Eligibility
All applicants, ages 14 through 26, must demonstrate exceptional talent and financial need, and are required to stay in the Boston or Coachella Valley areas during the scholarship period. To apply for a scholarship print the CMAF Scholarship Application Form and fill it out. Assemble your application package that should include:
- Two letters of recommendation from your music teacher and high school faculty or counselor
- Financial Statement
- Copy of the Birth Certificate

CMAF is looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor CMAF Scholarship Program. Without the support from businesses and individuals, we would not be able to provide this scholarship to nurture our young talent. With your support, we can help exceptional young artists from around the world achieve their goals of becoming mature professional musicians.
